Krystal is a first-year Psychology major with a strong interest in Alzheimer’s disease and the elderly population. Growing up with her grandparents fostered a deep emotional connection that inspired her to pursue research in this area. She joined the SHARE Lab to contribute to meaningful research and raise awareness about the aging population.
Krystal has prior experience working with individuals with dementia, which deepened her passion for this topic. She aspires to become a researcher and is eager to gain hands-on experience in this amazing lab.
Outside of school, Krystal enjoys creating art—a passion she has nurtured for over 11 years. She hopes to combine her interests in psychology, aging, and art to support older adults, particularly those reentering society after incarceration. Her long-term goal is to reduce recidivism among this population by using art as a rehabilitative tool within the legal justice system.
Fun fact: She has been doing art for 11 years!
