Bio

Rose was a 2nd year Human Development PhD student. She earned her M.S. in Gerontology at California State University, Long Beach. Her research focuses on empathy, intergenerational relationships, and informal caregiving. She is interested in filial ethics and educating empathy as a model for future generations to learn acceptance for the aging process. Rose’s qualitative research includes in-depth interviews, content analysis, and an ethnographic approach. She is excited to be under Dr. Huo’s mentorship and developing her knowledge of quantitative research methods. Rose is a self-proclaimed florist and a Golden Girls fanatic! 

Fun fact: Since 2010, she has earned over 10,000 volunteer hours.
